Sunset, Keyhaven
Keyhaven down on the Solent almost opposite the Needles on the Isle of Wight is a magical place. You can stand at the edge of the marsh, looking towards Hurst Castle and beyond it to the Needles. As the tide comes and goes, streams of water appear across the marshes. Local yachts float in the navigable channels but only at high tide. This large scale sunset painting was a studio work produced with lots of textural effects using cold wax medium and traditional oils. I hope you like it as much as I do.
